35 Years of Railway Engineering Service

Chris has worked in the Rail Transport Industry for his entire career, developing and refining his skills as a Telecoms Engineer. Starting as a signalling and telecoms apprentice in the Cardiff Telephone Exchange, Chris has progressed through the industry and is currently STARC’s Technical Director.

With a multitude of experience, Chris is expertise in fault locating with specialist test equipment, maintenance, design and installation of telecoms assets. Chris has delivered countless projects throughout Britain’s rail network for numerous clients.

In July 2008, Chris was elected as a member of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers, in recognition of his high standing within the industry. In the same year, Chris was also elected as a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Chris has also played a fundamental role within health and safety over the years, assisting in the integration of new practices and managing safety on a daily basis.

Fulfilling both a technical and management role, Chris is currently involved in works across the Crossrail West region. Projects include the installation of the new Station WAN and SCADA infrastructure, immunisation of existing cables in preparation for electrification and lift and shift enabling works for station remodelling.
