Principal Contractor Licence (PCL) awarded to STARC in August 2015.
Achieving a PCL allows STARC to be the lead contractor in construction activities on Network Rail’s infrastructure. It also demonstrates STARC’s capability to meet the exact requirements for this accreditation including robust quality, safety and environmental systems.

STARC was re-certified after external audit from ISOQAR for EN BS ISO 9001:2015.
Our quality management system outlines the business’s objectives as well as containing procedures to ensure that our services comply with industry regulations and meet the client’s quality requirements. In addition, the system manages customer feedback and methods for continuous improvement.

STARC was re-certified after external audit from ISOQAR for EN BS ISO 14001:2015.
Environmental management makes up an important part of STARC’s activities. Our system outlines the ways we minimise any harmful effects which may be caused by our works, conform to regulatory requirements and achieve continual improvement with relation to the company’s environmental performance.

STARC was re-certified after external audit from ISOQAR EN BS ISO 45001:2018.
Occupational health and safety management is at the forefront of all works which we undertake and our procedures, policies and controls are aligned in our accredited safety management system. Through this system we are able to identify hazards and subsequently minimise and eliminate risks involved. These actions help to engage and motivate staff with a better, safer working environment, reduce workplace accidents and illnesses and demonstrates STARC’s ongoing commitment and compliance to its customers and suppliers.

RISQS Link-Up Engage Qualified (Certificate Number: 3059)
The Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) allows for a single point of entry for contractors to the rail industry to demonstrate their qualification as an approved supplier. The qualifying scheme is supported by numerous bodies and recognised industry wide.
